That's when I started wondering: is there a tool that lets me see my itinerary route on a map before I leave, or even halfway through the day, so I can spot detours at a glance? Sounds simple, but when you actually go looking, suitable tools are hard to find. I've tried quite a few over time, and they all get stuck on two problems. One: "can't see the route" — you only get a list of attractions, with no idea how far apart they are or how long it takes to get between them. Two: "can't adjust on the fly" — once the itinerary is set, it's fixed; if you want to add a spot or change the order while on the road, you have to manually rearrange everything from scratch.

用法是把想去的景点都收藏到同一个清单里，打开地图能看到所有点的位置，大概判断哪些挨得近。但这个功能是个「收藏夹」，没有路线规划逻辑，也没有时间估算，只是让你知道点在哪。如果你需要的是「今天这几个景点按什么顺序走」，高德帮不了你，还是得自己在脑子里算。

The idea is to bookmark all the attractions you want to visit into a single list. Open the map and you can see where all the points are, giving you a rough sense of which ones are close together. But this feature is essentially a "bookmark folder" — it has no route-planning logic, no time estimates, it just shows you where the points are. If what you need is "what order should I visit these spots today," Amap can't help you with that; you still have to figure it out in your head.

我自己试过用高德的收藏功能规划南京一日游，8个景点收藏进去，打开地图确实能看到点都在哪——但哪个先去哪个后去，哪两个挨得近应该排一起，还是要自己脑补。最后算错了一次，多坐了20分钟地铁。适合的场景：到了目的地不知道周边有什么，随便找个餐厅或者顺路的景点，临时决策用用还行，做行程规划远远不够。

I personally tried using Amap's bookmark feature to plan a day trip in Nanjing — I bookmarked 8 attractions and yes, opening the map showed me where they all were. But which one to visit first, which one second, which two are close enough to group together — that still required mental gymnastics. I miscalculated once and ended up on the subway for an extra 20 minutes. This feature is quite comprehensive — you can group attractions by day, mark different days with different colors, and when you open the map you see the complete route with connecting lines showing the order between attractions. Once done, you can export and share it with your travel companions. The problem is that it's laborious to use. Every attraction needs to be manually searched and added, the order needs to be dragged into place by you, and the schedule needs to be filled in by you. The route is just "connecting lines," not an actual navigation path — you still need to separately look up which road to take from A to B.

I timed it once: planning a 5-day, 4-city itinerary using Google My Maps took about 2 to 3 hours of setup, and it takes even longer with more attractions. If you're already on the road and need to add a spot on the fly or reshuffle today's order, the operation itself takes 10 to 15 minutes — not very efficient. Best use case: you have plenty of time before departure and need to create a visual version of a multi-day, multi-city itinerary to share with teammates.
